Gordon Stevenson & Co Range
Heavy Duty | Blade Style: Paddle | Variants: IDF / Blowers / Exhausters | Duty: Industrial
The Gordon Stevenson & Co range encompasses heavy-duty centrifugal fans designed for demanding industrial applications. The range includes paddle bladed designs, induced draft fans, blowers, and exhausters, built to withstand the rigours of continuous heavy-industry operation. Paddle bladed impellers offer exceptional resistance to abrasive and sticky materials, making them a preferred choice for foundry, cement, mining, and similar high-particulate environments. Induced draft configurations enable integration into boiler, furnace, and process combustion systems.
Paddle (or flat) blades are extremely robust and resistant to wear from abrasive particles, sticky residues, and heavy contamination. They are favoured in foundries, cement plants, and bulk material handling where impeller longevity under extreme conditions is more important than peak aerodynamic efficiency.
An induced draft fan is positioned downstream of a furnace, boiler, or process chamber and pulls gases through the system rather than pushing air in. This negative-pressure arrangement is common in combustion and thermal process applications where it assists with heat transfer and emissions control.
The range is primarily used in heavy industry — including steel, foundry, mining, cement, power generation, and chemical processing — where robust, long-life fans are needed to handle abrasive, high-temperature, or chemically aggressive airstreams continuously.
