Belt-Driven Flamgard Mixed Flow Fans
Case Sizes: 300–1250mm | Material: SS 304/316L | Anti-Spark: Brass | Motor: Exde Option
Belt-Driven Flamgard Mixed Flow Fans combine the higher pressure capability of centrifugal fans with the compact inline profile of axial fans, fabricated from thick stainless steel (304/316L) with brass anti-spark protection for use in hazardous environments. The belt drive arrangement separates the motor from the airstream, allowing operation in contaminated or corrosive conditions with the motor protected and accessible. Metric case sizes from 300mm to 1250mm are available, with optional Exde motors, extended grease lubrication, inspection-access belt guards, and downstream guide vanes for increased static pressure regain.
Belt drive allows the motor speed and fan speed to be decoupled, enabling performance adjustment through pulley selection without changing the motor. It also physically separates the motor from the airstream, protecting it from contamination and heat while improving accessibility for maintenance.
Downstream guide vanes are fixed aerodynamic vanes positioned after the impeller that straighten the swirling airflow leaving the fan. This converts rotational kinetic energy back into static pressure, improving system efficiency and increasing the fan's usable static pressure output.
Optional Exde explosion-proof motors make the fan suitable for ATEX-classified zones. Brass anti-spark protection is provided as standard, and the stainless steel fabrication resists corrosive atmospheres — making the fan appropriate for offshore, chemical, and petrochemical installations.
