Bifurcated (or bif fans) are inline axial flow fans where the motor has been taken out of the airstream which allows the fan to operate at higher temperatures. They are suitable for medium to high volume applications with low pressure development.
Turngrove bifurcated fans are aimed at building services and general extract applications and are made with metric cases and flange drillings to suit common duct dimensions of 175, 250, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 & 1000mm internal diameter. The Turngrove range is fabricated in mild or stainless steel and is available in 3 temperatures ranges.
We fabricate to stock standard bifurcated fan cases sizes of 175, 250, 300 & 400mm internal diameter so that they are available for delivery on shorter lead times.
When temperature is involved we always recommend leaving the bifurcated fan to run on after the application has finished so that the bifurcated fan may cool the process, ductwork, and itself back down to ambient temperatures before being switched off.
Our Flamgard bifurcated fan range is available with imperial case sizes of 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 36, 42 & 48” internal diameter.
Flamgard bifurcated fan cases and impellers are generally fabricated from thicker section stainless steel in 316L or 304 grades and are intended for operation in arduous conditions and may include brass anti-spark protection. Higher specification driving motors such as Exde may be fitted.
All bifurcated fans are available with a range of ancillaries such as flexible connections, backing flanges, spigot flanges, fan feet, plate mounting, anti vibration mounts.
